BenQ ha annunciato ufficialmente il nuo nuovo masterizzatore Blu-Ray: le BW1000 Triple, dotato della tripla testina ottica di Philips. Il BW1000 supporta la registrazione dei BD-R e BD-RE (riscrivibili) da 25 GB e da 50 GB (dual layer) alla velocità di 2x , i DVD+R/-R a 12x, i DVD+R/-R dual layer a 4x, i DVD+RW/-RW a 8x, i CD-R a 32x ed i CD-RW a 24x. Riguardo alla lettura, viene supportata la velocità a 2x per il Blu-Ray, a 12x per i DVD ed a 32x per i CD. Supporta anche i formati DVD e CD. Arriverà in europa a partire dal terzo trimestre 2006.
